Staff and HR

Clock in and out with a PIN, timesheets, commission and the staff ledger; then HR - employee files, documents with expiry reminders, leave, monthly payroll, payslips, the UAE WPS salary file and the end-of-service estimate.

Staff and HR are in CreekPOS Online. Clock-in and timesheets come with the Retail plan; commission and the staff ledger with the Restaurant plan and higher; some HR features depend on the plan.

Switching Staff on

Open Settings → Staff settings (or Settings → Features) and switch Staff on. Clock in / out appears under POS and the Staff pages under Team. Set each person's PIN (4 to 8 digits) or card, their weekly schedule and the daily overtime limit.

Clock in and out

On the till, a person taps their name and types their own PIN (or swipes a card): clock in, start or end a break, clock out. This does not change who is signed in as the cashier. Five wrong PINs lock that name for five minutes. The till keeps punches offline and sends them later.

Timesheets, commission and the ledger

The timesheet shows each day's first in, last out, breaks, hours and overtime, marked late, early, missing clock-out or absent against the schedule. A manager can fix a punch with a reason; the original stays on record. Commission follows your rules (a base %, discounts counted or not, a % per category, monthly target tiers); a salesperson can be picked on each sale. The ledger holds advances (cash out of the drawer, shown on the X / Z), deductions and payouts. Print, Excel and CSV for each.

Switching HR on

With Staff on, open Settings → HR (owner only) and tick HR: employee files, documents, leave, payroll. Choose for each manager what they may do (see HR, manage HR, salaries and payroll); check the leave types, the weekend and the public holidays; in the UAE enter the establishment ID and the bank routing code for the WPS file. Reminders go in the app, by e-mail or by Telegram, even with owner alerts off. The roster, attendance devices, payroll rules and self-service links have their own chapter: HR: settings, attendance devices and payroll.

Files, documents and leave

Each person's employee file holds job, joining date, probation, contact and emergency contact; the salary part is seen only by the owner and the people the owner allows. Documents (passport, visa, Emirates ID, labour card, health card, the shop's trade licence…) carry numbers, dates and a scan kept encrypted; the expiring-soon board reminds you at 90, 60, 30 and 7 days. Leave has yearly entitlement, carry-over, requests and approval, a team calendar and public holidays.

Payroll, payslips and WPS

Run payroll monthly per branch: basic and allowances, overtime from the timesheets, commission, bonuses, deductions and advances taken back, then review, change any figure with a reason and finalise. Print or e-mail payslips, download the bank-transfer sheet and, in the UAE, the WPS salary file (SIF) for your bank. Test the file once with your bank before your first live payroll. The end-of-service and leave-encashment figures are estimates: confirm them with your bank or accountant.
