Loyalty points and promotions
Setting up loyalty points (earning, value, minimum, expiry, welcome points), using them at the till, adjusting a balance and the loyalty report; then building promotions the till applies by itself.
Loyalty points
Loyalty points need the Silver package of the program, or any CreekPOS Online plan. Customers collect points on what they pay and spend them on a later bill.
Setting up
Program: Settings → Loyalty points. CreekPOS Online: Settings → Loyalty points (managers). Tick Turn on loyalty points, then:
| Setting | Default | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Earns n point(s) per (AED) x | 1 point per 10 AED | The earning rate |
| One point is worth (AED) | 0.10 | What a point takes off a bill |
| Fewest points per redemption | 50 | The smallest number of points spent at once |
| Most of a bill payable with points (%) | 50 % | Points never pay more than this share of a bill |
| Points expire after (months, 0 = never) | 0 | Oldest points expire first |
| Welcome points for a new member | 0 | Given when a member is added |
| Categories that earn no points | none | For example tobacco or top-up cards |
The page shows a worked example with your numbers. With the defaults, a customer who spends 100 AED earns 10 points, and 50 points take 5 AED off a later bill.
Points are earned on what the customer pays after all discounts, without the part paid with points.
At the till
- With loyalty on, the client button above the receipt becomes Customer by phone: type the mobile number and press Find, or add a new member with a name (they get the welcome points).
- The button now shows the member's name, their points and what this sale will earn.
- To spend points press Pay with points: How many points? (up to …). The limit is the smaller of the balance and the bill's maximum share. Typing 0 removes the points.
- Pay the rest as usual. The receipt prints the points used, earned and Your points balance.
Points cannot pay a sale on credit, and a customer must be on the sale. A return takes back the points the sale earned and gives back those it spent, in proportion; a balance never goes below zero.
Points history and adjustments
In Suppliers & clients → Clients, Points history shows a member's balance and every movement: earned, redeemed, welcome, expired, return, void, adjusted. Adjust points adds or removes points with a reason (a manager's sign-in is needed). On CreekPOS Online: the customer's Points page.
The loyalty report
Reports → Loyalty points shows the Points liability (how many points customers hold and what they are worth to the shop) and the Top customers by spending over the last 30 or 90 days or this year. On CreekPOS Online: Reports → Loyalty points, for any period.
Promotions
Promotions are offers the till applies by itself. They need the Gold package of the program (the Promotions button on the top bar) or any CreekPOS Online plan (Settings → Promotions).

Press New promotion, give it a Name and choose the Kind:
