Connections

Your till's day in your accountant's program, and card payments online

Coming soon

Your accountant works in Zoho Books, Xero or QuickBooks Online? Connect it once in Settings → Connections and CreekPOS Online sends each day's sales, your customers on credit, their invoices, credit notes and payments by itself, each document once. Connect your own Paymob account to take card and wallet payments in AED in your online shop and by pay link. And Books sends your invoices to companies as UAE e-invoices through Flick.

Part of Online Restaurant and Chain: no add-on, nothing per document. Coming soon: each connection is switched on once its set-up with the provider is finished.

A till, an accountant's laptop and a phone paying by card, joined by calm lines of data
  • Zoho Books, Xero and QuickBooks Online
  • Each document sent once, never edited behind your accountant
  • Paymob card and wallet payments in AED, on your own account
  • UAE e-invoices from Books, through Flick

01Accounting programs

Zoho Books, Xero or QuickBooks Online, kept up to date by themselves

Once connected, CreekPOS sends one sales journal per branch and day: sales by VAT rate, the VAT, cash and card apart, returns, the cost of goods if you want it, and expenses. Customers on credit become contacts, each credit receipt an invoice, a return a credit note, a repayment a payment. Bills and expenses from Books can go too.

  • A day is sent after it closes; till receipts that arrive late are caught up
  • Your accountant types nothing from the till
  • Bills and expenses from Books only if you choose, so nothing arrives twice
  • A Zoho Books organisation is served from its own data centre, the UAE's included

02Connecting

Sign in, choose the organisation, check the accounts

In Settings → Connections, the owner or a manager presses Connect, signs in on the program's own page and allows CreekPOS, then picks the organisation. CreekPOS suggests the account each line goes to; you can change any of them.

  • Your password stays with the program: CreekPOS keeps only a sealed token
  • Disconnect at any time
  • Every action is in the shop's activity log
  • Owners and managers only

03Each document once

Never twice, never an edit behind your accountant

Every document is sent once and remembered. A till receipt that arrives after its day was sent goes as an adjustment journal of the difference: what your accountant already has is never edited. Anything the program refused is listed with its own words and a Send again button.

  • A send whose answer was lost is looked up before it is tried again
  • A daily cap respects the program's own limits; the rest goes the next day
  • Problems are listed, never lost
Each document crosses once, with its receipt

04Pay online

Card and wallet payments in your online shop, with Paymob

Connect your own Paymob merchant account (the Emirates, AED) and your online shop offers “Pay online (card / wallet)” beside cash on delivery. The order counts as paid only after Paymob's signed confirmation is checked and the payment is read back from Paymob.

  • Paid orders reach the till marked as paid
  • A paid online order that is cancelled is refunded through Paymob from its page
  • Orders left unpaid are cancelled after a while; nothing is taken twice
  • We charge nothing per payment: Paymob's fees are your agreement with Paymob
A guest pays by card on the phone; the order lands on the till, paid

06Settlements

Paymob's settlements, ready for Books

CreekPOS reads Paymob's transactions every day and makes a statement (CSV or OFX) that Books imports into a Paymob account, each line once, with Paymob's fee as a line of its own when Paymob reports one. A payment that no order or link of yours made goes to a “not matched” list for you to handle.

  • The card shows today's takings, refunds and the last settled day
  • A Books bank rule can book Paymob's fees as an expense
  • Mark a not-matched payment as handled, with a note

07E-invoicing

UAE e-invoices from Books, through Flick

Tax invoices and credit notes in Books to customers with a TRN go out as UAE e-invoices (PINT AE) through Flick, an e-invoicing service provider. Their status shows on the invoice and on its A4 print, and suppliers' e-invoices arrive as draft bills in Books.

  • A readiness checklist before anything is sent
  • Till receipts to consumers are not sent: they are outside the programme
  • Flick charges for its service separately; it publishes no price
  • The dates and the rules are on the UAE e-invoicing page

Plain answers

What it is, and what it is not

  • Every connection is built into CreekPOS Online and is switched on once its set-up with the provider is finished; none is switched on yet.
  • Connections read your shop's data; they never change your sales, stock or customers.
  • Your Zoho Books, Xero, QuickBooks Online, Paymob or Flick account is your own: its plan, limits and fees are between you and them.
  • Paymob is for the online shop and pay links; the card machine at your till stays as it is.
  • CreekPOS is not an e-invoicing service provider: Flick sends and receives your e-invoices.
  • Not in the buy-once desktop program.

Questions about connections

Which programs can I connect?

Zoho Books, Xero and QuickBooks Online for accounting, Paymob for card and wallet payments, and Flick for UAE e-invoicing. We announce each new one on the blog.

What does my accountant have to do?

Check the accounts CreekPOS suggests for each line, once. After that the days, invoices, credit notes and payments arrive by themselves, and anything the program refused is listed with a Send again button.

What happens if a till receipt arrives late?

If its day was already sent, the difference goes as an adjustment journal. CreekPOS never edits a document your accountant already has.

Do you take a cut of card payments?

No. We charge nothing per payment. Paymob's own fees are your agreement with Paymob.

Whose Paymob account is it?

Yours. You open a Paymob merchant account for the Emirates, try it in Paymob's test mode, then go live with Paymob. The money goes from Paymob to you.

Are my till receipts sent as e-invoices?

No. Sales to consumers are outside the UAE e-invoicing programme. Invoices and credit notes to companies with a TRN, made in Books, are sent through Flick.
