Your AI asks CreekPOS for the exact figures across 21 read-only tools and answers from them: today against last Tuesday, kitchen prep-stage SLA telemetry and chef/waiter speed leaderboards (kitchen_staff_sla), theoretical BOM recipe usage vs. actual stock-take variance (recipe_stock_variance), what is about to expire, and who is clocked in. It can also read CreekPOS's own help, so it explains a screen or an error message correctly.

There is no tool that sells, voids, refunds, takes a payment, changes a setting or deletes anything. Product names and notes reach the AI as data, never as instructions. A key sees only its own shop, and only one branch if you chose one.

Your key, your rules
Make a key in Settings → AI access, give it a name (My ChatGPT, Accountant's Claude) and tick what it may read. Reports, stock, products and receipts start ticked; customers, bookings and team start unticked, because they are personal data. The key is shown once, and we keep only a fingerprint of it.

An address with the key in it is the key itself: never paste it anywhere public. AI apps move their menus from time to time; if a step has moved, the app's own help names the new place.

The AI access page lists the last 50 calls: when, which key, which tool, how many rows, answered or refused. The questions themselves are not stored.

What it is, and what it is not
- CreekPOS does not supply the AI: you use your own Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or other MCP assistant, on its maker's terms and price.
- Zero-middleware and strictly read-only: no sales, refunds, stock changes or settings can ever be modified.
- Your AI answers from CreekPOS's exact figures, but its wording is its own: check the report before a decision that depends on a number.

Which AI apps work with it?
Claude (the desktop app via the 1-click creekpos.mcpb bundle, claude.ai and the Claude phone apps), ChatGPT with developer mode, Google Gemini, Cursor, and any assistant that speaks MCP via /.well-known/mcp.json discovery or our portable skill.md (https://api.creekpos.com/mcp/skill.md).
Can the AI change anything in my shop?
No. Every one of the 21 MCP tools only reads. There is no way through this connection to sell, refund, take a payment, change stock or a setting, or delete anything.
Do I pay CreekPOS per question?
No. Connect your AI is included in Online Restaurant and Chain. You pay the AI's maker for your own AI plan, as you do today.
Can I give my accountant a key for one branch?
Yes. Make a key with a name, tick only what they need (for example reports), choose the branch and, if you like, a last day. Revoke it whenever you want.
What if a key leaks?
Revoke it on the AI access page: it stops working at once, and so does the address that carries it. Make a new one for the AI you use.
Are my questions stored?
CreekPOS keeps a log of the calls (when, which key, which tool, how many rows) but not the questions themselves. Your AI app keeps your chats under its own terms.
Is this the same as Ask your shop?
No. Ask your shop is built into CreekPOS and Telegram: it answers the usual questions with fixed rules and exact figures, and passes other questions to the AI built into CreekPOS (coming soon). Connect your AI lets the AI you already use, with your own account, read your shop.
