Three companies, one owner: a group view without mixing the books

Available now in CreekPOS Online

Many UAE owners run a grocery, a cafeteria and the trading company that supplies both, each with its own licence, books and VAT. A group in CreekPOS Online shows them together, per shop and for the group, with the business between them removed.

Three companies, one owner: a group view without mixing the books

Rashid owns a grocery in Al Nahda, a cafeteria next door, and a small trading company in Al Qusais that supplies both with drinks and snacks. Each has its own trade licence, its own VAT registration and its own books. When he wants to know how the whole family business did this month, he adds three reports by hand, and the answer is wrong: the trading company's sales to his own grocery count twice.

A group, not a merger

In CreekPOS Online each company stays its own shop, with its own account, its own data and its own VAT. A group shows them together without mixing them.

The owner of a shop on Online Chain creates the group in Reports → Groups and invites the owners of the other shops by e-mail. Each invited owner approves and chooses what to share before anything of their shop is read: transfers between the companies, shared products and prices, a shared credit limit for customers. A shop on any plan can join; any shop can leave at any time, and from that moment nothing more of it is read. A group holds up to 20 shops.

The group owner names who else sees the group: an accountant (the figures, the statements and the transfers) or a viewer (the dashboard and questions).

One dashboard, without the double counting

For any period, the dashboard shows per shop and for the group: sales, profit and margin, stock value at cost, cash in the drawers, what customers owe and what is owed to suppliers.

Then it removes the business between your own companies. When the trading company sells drinks to the grocery, that is a sale for one and a purchase for the other, but for the group it is just stock moving between shelves. The group's figures take it out; and the drinks still on the grocery's shelf carry a margin the group has not earned yet, so it is held back until they are sold. Cash and VAT are never removed.

Statements and VAT

With Books on in each shop, the owner and the accountant get a group profit and loss and balance sheet on one group chart of accounts. VAT stays side by side, never added up: each company files its own return. A closing view shows, per shop and month, whether the month is closed and the VAT month filed. Everything exports to CSV or Excel, or prints to PDF.

Ask the group

Questions work as in Ask your shop: "sales of the group today", "group profit this month", "what do customers owe the group", "which shop is below budget" (the group owner sets a monthly budget per shop). The answers are worked out from the group's figures; there is no guessing and no AI.

Transfers and shared lists

The trading company can transfer stock to the grocery at an agreed price: a sale in one, a purchase in the other, settled later. Products, prices and suppliers can be pushed to the shops that agreed, always after a preview. A customer who buys on credit from two of the companies can have one group-wide limit.

Good to know

Transfers between companies are recorded in each shop and in the group's figures, but not posted into each shop's Books by themselves: the statements list them so your accountant can post them. A group joins CreekPOS shops only; a shop in another country counts once the group owner sets its rate. Groups are not in the buy-once desktop program.

A group of companies is part of Online Chain. Read the ERP page and the manual chapter.
