Roles, duties and branch access · SaaS / Online
This guide uses fictional training data. Available controls depend on your enabled features, plan and permissions.
Prepared against the tested 13 October 2026 build; check your deployed build before following a new control.
Who can use this
Owner / manager
Required tools
Team and staff access. Requires the appropriate enabled features and entitlement; this guide does not add plan inclusions.
Before you begin
If a control is absent, check role, branch, enabled features and entitlement. If an order or price changed, refresh and review again. Do not repeat an uncertain financial action with a new request.
Steps
- Open Team as owner. Create a separate account for each employee; do not share the manager password.
- Assign actual rights and permitted branches. Give waiters table/service tools, chefs kitchen tools and cashiers checkout tools; an employee with several authorized roles can switch workspaces.
- Test the account in a separate session. The role landing page, menus and finder should show only authorized tools. A hidden link never grants or removes server permissions.
- Use the read-only accountant preset for inspection and exports. Test a write refusal before handing over the account. Revisit rights when duties change.

Check the result
Review the saved record and its audit/stock/payment state before continuing. A preview, queued request or accepted send is not proof of completed delivery or settlement.
Edition differences and limits
On classic Desktop, manage local staff and cashier rights in the program. Local staff records are distinct from online team accounts. Pair and sign into a cloud till to use cloud accounts; do not assume local users automatically become cloud employees.
