Reorder and expiry
Choose the appropriate workspace and branch. Your plan, enabled modules and team permissions determine which actions are available.
Both are in CreekPOS Online from the Retail plan. The desktop program does not have them yet.
Switching on
Open Settings → Reorder and expiry (managers):
- tick Switch on smart reorder (it needs purchase orders: Settings → Features → packs and purchase orders);
- tick Switch on expiry control (it needs lots switched on first);
- fill each supplier's terms: delivery days, how often you order, days of
cover, minimum order, the order's language, e-mail, WhatsApp and returns.
The menus Inventory → Reorder and Inventory → Expiry control then appear.
What to buy today
Inventory → Reorder lists, per supplier, the items to order now and how many, each with its reason: "sells 6 a day, 3 days left, the supplier takes 2 days → order 48 (4 cases)". The rate counts only days the item was on the shelf; quantities respect the shelf space, shelf life, whole cases and the supplier's minimum. Change a quantity, drop a line or add an item, then press Make the purchase order and send it: print or save as PDF, Excel, e-mail from your shop's address, or WhatsApp from your own phone. Below the list: dead stock (nothing sold in 60 days) and the money it holds.
The near-expiry board
Inventory → Expiry control shows the lots near their date: how much, what it cost, days left, and whether sales will clear it in time ("will not sell out before expiry: 14 left over").
Markdowns
Markdown rules (by default 30 % with 7 days left, 50 % with 2 days, per category if you like) are suggested for your approval, or put in force automatically if you choose. They apply to that lot only; the till shows "Near expiry price −30%" on the line and the receipt. Print markdown shelf labels from the board.
Expired lots, returns and write-offs
Expired lots are blocked at the till by default (or need a manager, or only warn). Make a supplier return sheet under the supplier's terms (a return for credit lowers what you owe them), or write off expired stock in one click.
The waste report
The waste report shows what was written off versus returned, by month, category and supplier, with Excel and CSV files. It is the number that shows what expiry control saves you.
